I don’t know about you but for me my very first Chanel lipstick is kind of a big deal! I am now the proud mummy of to a Chanel Arthur Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour Lipstick and while I do think I should have opted for a darker red or even a neutral brown lipstick – the beauty of hindsight – I didn't want to get an expensive/designer version of a shade that I already owned and I wanted something quite summery, warm . . . and not matte (as I own WAY too many matte lipsticks right now).
I actually opted for the Chanel Arthur Rouge Coco lipstick because I heard that it was one of their bestselling shades as it is a warm, red lipstick with coral tones that looks lovely on every skintone – though I have to admit that it acts a bit like a chameleon and looks a little different on everyone – and gives the lips a kissable, juicy effect.
If you cannot tell by the name – which I think gives a BIG clue to the finish of this lipstick – the Chanel Arthur lipstick has a sheer-satin like finish and has been formulated with mimosa, jojoba and sunflower plant butters as well as the CHANEL Hydraboost complex for a really soft, ultra-hydrating texture on the lips.
As the Chanel Rouge Coco Arthur lipstick has SO many butters infused into its formula, it does slip and transfer quite a bit. I get around 3 hours wear IF I don’t eat or drink anything so it is not the most long-wearing red lipstick that I have in my collection by stretch of the imagination but it is Chanel and my lips look great in it so all sins are forgiven (for now anyway)
