Disclosure Policy

The disclosure rules are pretty simple on Epiphanniea.co.uk so listen closely.

    • Although I do buy a lot of makeup – which is why I avoid looking at my bank statement – I am fortunate enough to be give complimentary products regularly in my role both as a blogger and a freelance writer for Yahoo Style.

    • There is absolutely nothing that guarantees a positive review

    • Products are reviewed as I find them and based on my experience of the product and the experience of my swatch models – so be very afraid, up to 9 people are trying that product

    • I WILL NOT, DO NOT and CANNOT BE BOTHERED to post positive reviews for a product in exchange for compensation or product, as my swatches tend to speak for itself. If I tried to pen a post talking about how amazing a lipstick was but you can see cracks and patches on each of my models lips, then my credibility would be in the dirt. If a post is sponsored or a collaboration between a brand and Epiphanniea.co.uk, it will be clearly marked as such somewhere in the post.

    • Products are reviewed as I find them and based on my experience of the product and the experience of my swatch models – so be very afraid, up to 9 people are trying that produc

    • I use affiliated deep links via multiple affiliate websites e.g. Affilinet, Tradedoubler UK & Affiliate window on the majority of my posts. If you were to buy something through a link that I have provide, I will receive a small percentage of that sale – which FYI goes towards renting the studio that I use to take all swatch pictures – HOWEVER some brands or websites do not have an affiliate program so not every product featured on Epiphanniea.co.uk has an affiliate deep link

    • I do not make any charges to organically review, photograph, Tweet or Instagram beauty products but if you are working against a tight deadline, let me know and we can talk rates.

    • I do not accept sponsorship or advertising on products that I have nothing positive to say about or do not think my readers would like to know about.

      • I accept a limited amount of advertising on my site which are carefully selected by me.

    • While Epiphanniea.co.uk has been designed for me to make revenue in order for me to keep blogging and kidnapping ladies of every skintone for your swatching needs – I’m 65% kidding about the kidnapping – the purpose of the website is to be a destination for inclusive beauty in the UK regardless of skin tone or skin type, so I will try to cover as many products as possible regardless of wheter or not that product is available in my shade HOWEVER I will CLEARLY state that ‘I have not tried that product as it is not available in my shade . . ‘ somewhere in that post

If any of the above points are not clear and you would like me to expand on them, please drop me an email at annie@epiphanniea.co.uk
