I would never call myself a "skincare junkie" but there’s something about the Mio The A Cream Active Body Cream from Mio Skincare that makes me sit up and listen. As you can probably tell from the lack of posts this week – and my mini tantrum on twitter - I’ve been a little ill and knocking back a cocktail of penicillin, pain-killers and anti-viral medication every 4 hours or so (on my doctor's orders - which as you could probably guess – has done HAVOC to my skin.
I’m not too proud to say that my skin is the driest it has been in a VERY long time and drinking my weight in water was not producing the results I wanted as quickly as I would have liked. As I’ve already spent enough time lying in my bed feeling sorry for myself, I decided to be proactive and try out a light body lotion that aims to boost my skin’s elasticity and combat its dryness with a rich Omegas, antioxidants and vitamins formulation.
The Mio The A Cream Body Cream - £25 via Mio Skincare - is an extra firming body lotion that has been formulated to create a soothing shield over the skin to help to combat dryness, fight the damaging effects of sun, pollutants and free radicals while still leaving your skin soft, balanced and deeply moisturised. I’ve been using this cream for almost 2 weeks – so still early days – but I haven’t reacted to it – definitely a GREAT sign – and the dry, flaky appearance I had on my legs and elbows has actually started to fade away.
Now obvious the fact that this Mio Skincare body cream works is all well and good but the one thing that ABSOLUTELY sells this body cream for me is its pump. The Mio The A Cream pump dispenser can easily be pushed with the heel of your palm which makes this body lotion RIDICOLOUSLY easy to use when your hands are wet or oily from massaging product into your skin.
Before I round off this post, I should say that the Mio Skincare The A Cream Active Body has a slight lemony fragrance though it is not particularly heavy so it should be ok for those with sensitive skin or a sensitive nose. Also I feel that I should stress that the Mio The A Cream Firming Active Body Cream is free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance and colourants, xenoestrogens, PEGs, glycols and phthalates, so if you hate the inclusion of any of these “nasties” in your skincare products then be rest assured.
The Mio Skincare The A Cream Firming Active Body Cream costs £25 and is available to purchase from the Mio Skincare website
