Let me start off this post by saying that if you live in the UK and are thinking of getting the TooFaced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer please ask yourself what you want your primer to do or feel like before getting the TooFaced Hangover Primer. In my mind a primer boosts your foundation's longevity, has a silicone feel to the touch – which FYI I love – and gives you an airbrushed effect . . . . but this primer from Too Faced is quite different from the "traditional" primers that you might go out and buy.

The TooFaced Hangover Face Primer - £27 via Debenhams – is a silicone free face primer that has been infused with coconut water and has been formulated to hydrate, smooth, and brighten the skin for a dewy, healthy looking finish aka make you look like you have ACTUALLY been drinking your 8 glasses of water a day.

When I applied the TooFaced Hangover Replenishing Face Primerr to my face, I noticed it felt more like a moisturising lotion than a primer but after testing this primer for a few weeks now on a daily basis I do have to say that I think that the TooFaced Primer isn’t really a primer but a great lotion or serum.

My skin feels smoother, plumper, moisturised but it still feels like skin – that sounds weird, I know but I’m going somewhere with this – I don’t feel airbrushed or like my skin has an amazing Instagram filter on it which is why I personally use primers.

On a positive note I do quite like the fact that the TooFaced Hangover Primer comes with a pump making it easier to apply and can be worked into the skin fairly quickly AND – this is a very important “and” -  the coconut scent isn’t overpowering and my foundation

I’m still playing around with the TooFaced Hangover Primer to see if it REALLY prolongs the longevity of my makeup – as that means less touch-ups during the day for me – as I’m not convinced that it has improved the longevity of my foundation to justify its price but with the weather starting to warm up and the trains becoming more and more of a sweat box, I think that this primer from TooFaced could fast become a summer essential for me.
