When you thnink mineral makeup, chances are the first brand that comes to your head is Bare Minerals . . . or Bare Escentuals is you are old school like that. Bare Minerals is probably the largest minerals cosmetics brand in the UK with an extensive range of loose and pressed powders, blushes, mascaras and lipsticks. I’ve only just discover Bare Minerals this year so I’m really trying to catch up by trying and swatching everything I can get my hands on. As I’m sure I’m not the only person who was a bit apprehensive to give mineral makeup a try, Bare Minerals have taken note and updated their infamous starter kits.
bareMinerals 8-piece Customisable Get Started® Kit has everything you need for a flawless complexion. Just add your choice of bareMinerals Foundation.
Bare Minerals Customisable Get Started Kit is a newbie godsend as it is now customisable. YOU can now choose your exact foundation match from the Bare Minerals Original, Matte or Ready formulas (which fyi comes in 20 shades) rather than an inbetween shade. As I’m relatively new to Bare Minerals foundations, I’m probably in a better position than most to tell you whether or not this set is worth it. Well to me YES and NO.
In the set you get:-
- Your choice of bareMinerals Foundation
- Prime Time Foundation Primer
- Original Mineral Veil Finishing Powde
- Warmth All-Over Face Color
- Full Flawless Face Brush
- Flawless Application Face Brush
- Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
- A How-To DVD
I’m already in love with their primer – soooo silky – and their original veil finishing powder but for the life of me I can’t figure out what the Warmth All-Over Face Color is meant to do. I know I should probably watch the DVD to find the answer to that question but I’m an experimenter so I’m going to be using this as a blush, bronzer combo until I figure out how to work it for my personal use.
I’m not in love with the quality of the Face Brushes, I find them a little bit on the scratchier side but I could elope with the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush – Vegas wedding anyone?? I think with sets, there are always going to be products you love more than others but the whole purpose of the set is to introduce you to the products so you can make the decision for yourself at a significantly reduced cost. I think this set is definetly a winner because I adore more than 3/4 of it and thats saying something as I’m picky as hell
