I TOLD you that I would buy the Jouer Fraise Bonbon Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick! Yes it has taken me over 3 months to put a review live on my wesbite and I’m technically only reviewing it because I started a #365LipstickDays Lipstick Challenge . . . and I started using it without taking a ‘blog picture’ of it – which is a blogging faux pas – but I KNEW that this lipstick would work for me and would also be a better option on dark skin than Noisette – which FYI has VERY misleading stock pictures online.
It’s so odd that I have an obsession with liquid lipsticks when a few years ago, you couldn’t get me to wear a matte lipsticks as I did not like the way they felt on my lips. I couldn’t stand how dry matte lipsticks made my lips feel – screw the longevity – but with the introduction of liquid lipsticks to the beauty market – and probably a hint of maturity on my part – I find that I tend to opt more liquid lipsticks over standard lipsticks as they are long lasting and tea-proof which is probably why I’m happier with my Jouer Fraise Bonbon Lipstick.
The Jouer Fraise Bonbon Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick – £22 via Cult Beauty – is a dark, raspberry pink liquid lipstick that has been designed to have a weightless, non-drying and phenomenally long-wearing liquid formula that is meant to provide full-coverage, pigment-rich colour that is meant to dry to a smooth finish that is soft to the touch. I definitely agree that the Jouer Fraise Bonbon lipstick is quite hydrating and weightless on my lips, there are so many thing glaringly wrong with this lipstick that it’s gorgeous, pigment-rich colour can’t cover up.
This lipstick is STINKS!
The Jouer Fraise Bonbon fragrance is quite overpowering. It’s smells too sweet and the smell lingers for a good minute before exaporating (which is like 10 seconds too long), there’s definitely something special about its whipped-consistency that I haven’t come across on another brand. Is it good? Yes. Would I recommend it to someone? Probably not.
The Jouer Fraise Bonbon Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick costs £22 and can be purchased from Cult Beauty.
