I’ve never been a big of black lipsticks so how I managed to get my hands on the Urban Decay Perversion Vice Comfort Matte Lipstick is a bit of a mystery – as I actually don’t know how it snuck its way into my lipstick collection. I think I might have bought it on a whim for my sister and then forgot about it . . . or I was given it an event and forgot about it.
Regardless of how I got it, I thought it would be a GREAT addition to my #365LipstickDays Lipstick Challenge as it’s not a colour you would ever see me wear on a normal basis. It’s not that I ‘hate’ black lipsticks on other people – as Natalie Kayo looks AMAZING in black lipstick – I just have a strong aversion to it as I’ve seen it look horrible more times than it looks good.
“Just my opinion . . .”
The Urban Decay Perversion Vice Comfort Matte Lipstick – £15.50 via John Lewis – is a deep black lipstick with no obvious undertones with a creamy formula that has been loaded with nourishing ingredients; aloe vera, jojoba, avocado and babassu oils, to nourish and soften lips and vitamin C and vitamin E provide a hit of antioxidants. I think the main thing you probably want to know is whether the Urban Decay Perversion lipstick is prone to feathering or slipping, so you’ll be happy to know that this blck lipstick from Urban Decay applies quite evenly on the lips and despite being shocked to the brim with nourishing butters/oils, it does not feather. I got a wear time of about 4-5 hours (which my mum was very happy about as she HATED this lipstick but loved the hair LOL)
Would I ever wear this lipstick again? Only for a fancy dress party or if the occasion REALLY called for it but I’m going to VERY honest and say that I’m probably going to give this away to a cousin or my sister as I’m a nude lipstick girl through and through and I just don’t have the confidence – or the willpower – to rock this lipstick outside my house.
