Everything You Want To Know About The May Coop Raw Sauce

Made from 93% maple tree sap, the May Coop Raw Sauce is a very interesting Korean skincare product that I didn’t know I wanted until I heard about the latest Korean Skincare trend making its way to the UK – Skip-care.

It would seem that the 10-step and ‘7 step’ skincare routine is starting to lose its momento in the Korean market with Koreans now looking to restrict how much skincare they purchase. If you consider that there are over 20,000 Korean Skincare brands all fighting for recognition and every brand is the new ‘it’ brand, sooner than later you will find yourself turning into a skincare hoarder.

Skip-care is a simpler approach to the ’10-step’ skincare routine as you identify the essential ingredients that your skin reacts positively to and the opt for skincare products that contain these products, essentially using less products without sacrificing your results. The Skip-care Skincare Methods essentially means that opting for products that do one or more things that your skin needs in one step – maximizing your time AND your funds.

And this is where the May Coop Raw Sauce comes in.

Made from 93% maple tree sap, The May Coop Raw Sauce – £12.00 for 40ml via Tonic15 – is a deeply-hydrating essence that will quickly add a glow to your complexion. The formula contains nourishing botanical extracts and antioxidant properties to protect your skin against free-radicals.

Although the May Coop Raw Sauce is described as an essence but considering the consistency and “feel” of this product, it is better to think of it as an essence-toner hybrid product.

I actually like how much of a time-effective this product is as I just have to put a few drops into a cotton-pad, swipe it across my skin and let it air-dry. I know some people prefer to use products like the May Coop Raw Sauce into the palm of their hands and then pat it into their skin but I only apply moisturisers (and Hyalaronic Acid) with my fingers . . . . not sure why but that’s just my routine.

I don’t normally use a toner in the morning as I do not like to use alcohol based products in the morning BUT and this is a big but I have started using the May Coop Raw Sauce in the mornings as I just love how refreshing and hydrating it is and how well it works with my current makeup routine. If we look at the Raw Sauce ingredient list, it does list alcohol as it’s second ingredient – no surprise, it IS a toner – but the amount of  maple tree sap extract alongside other plant & fruit extracts makes this an amazing base.
