Need to freshen up your curls? Check out our tips below

Add some water sis!

Water is honestly KEY; we’re sure that all of the natural girls can vouch for that! Give your curls the hydration they need; grab your spray bottle, add some water, and start spraying your whole head.

You don’t have to go overboard with the water, just spray enough to get the job done. You can apply a leave-in conditioner after spraying your hair or you can even mix the leave-in conditioner with the water in the spray bottle; the choice is yours.

Don’t be afraid to add gel.

A little bit of gel won’t hurt nobody! If you’re trying to revitalize your curls and get some definition, you might want to add a gel.

We recommend using a aloe based gel or a curl definition cream. It’s great for shine, definition, moisture AND will not dry out your curls like an regular gel.

Finger coil those strands.

If your curls aren’t popping like how they were when you first did your hair, try finger coiling to get that definition back. Finger coiling can be a little time consuming so if you’re looking for a quick fix, this is not it unless your hair is super short.

Before you finger coil, you want to make sure that your hair is fully detangled so you don’t have to deal with knots. Remember you’re trying to refresh your hair, not mat it up so do not skip the detangling process!

Wrap it up!

Have you been going to sleep without wrapping your hair or are you still using cotton scarves? If you answered yes, cut it out sis.

A huge part of keeping your hair fresh is protecting it at night by wrapping it using a silk or satin scarf. Having satin or silk pillowcases can be a huge bonus as well. Satin and silk material will keep the moisture in therefore, keeping your hair fresh and shiny.
