I’m not usually a fan of beauty boxes as a lot of the items are just not suitable for me or my lifestyle but the Shop Skincare beauty box popped through my letter box this week and I actually felt it was “blog worthy” as it’s a different concept to what’s on the market

Shop Skincare is a brand new website launching today for ‘beauty lovers who love a recommendation’ but are savvy enough not to buy into what they hear/read and want to try products out themselves . . . . which is where the Shop Skincare beauty box comes in. The main difference – which is quite distinct if you ask me – between the average beauty box and Shop Skincare is that customers receive a free box with full size products as a gift with all purchases over £40 AND there’s NO SUBSCRIPTION . . . so it’s not REALLY a traditional box but more a reward for being amazing and treat for shopping on the shopskincare.co.uk site.

From what I can tell from the press release – as the website is not live as I’m writing this post – customer can choose between 200+ products against skincare, makeup, suncare etc. that they would like to add to their beauty box. My beauty box included a

  • [A’kin] Brightening Rosehip Oil
  • Lord & Berry Lipstick
  • UltraSun SPF 50+ Face Cream

I’m definitely going to try out (and hopefully review) the [A’kin] Brightening Rosehip Oil and Lord & Berry Lipstick as these are beauty products that I would probably have chosen for myself especially as I’m not very familiar with either brand.

I think the Shop Skincare beauty box concept is definitely a good one and I can’t wait to see how it does in the upcoming months
