The MAC Grand Illusion Liquid Lipcolour in Ruby Princess is a bright purple liquid lipgloss with a pearlescent finish. When worn on darker skintones, the silver specks in this lipstick look stronger so this lipstick takes on a cooler tone.

It’s not every day I pick up a metallic lipgloss but I needed it for a specific look and this shade is so intriguing. On the lips, the MAC Ruby Princess lipcolour deposits a semi-opaque, pearly, purple coats onto the lips that feels a little bit tacky but not quite sticky. I have worn this purple lipgloss by itself, and on top of a lip-liner and I found that it was quite comfortable to wear however I don’t like how strong the silver specks are on this lipgloss as it turns it from being a warm-purple shade to a cooler purple shade – which isn’t what I wanted.
