Before I launch into this post can I just have a minute silence to appreciate how gorgeous my new shabby chic festive deer is?? I’m currently redecorating my room at the moment and I’ve become obsessed with homeware and props which is great as it means that I spend less time flapping around my room and more time at painting my nails at my desk, browsing the internet.

As I’m such a fidgety person, I find it so difficult to keep my hands still long enough for my nails to completely dry. I always end up smudging a nail and having to redo it over and over again until I get it right, this is probably why I tend to favour quick drying nailpolish or very opaque formulas as there’s less room for error.

I’m actually a HUGE fan of the Bourjois 1 seconde Nailpolish range as they apply like a pigmented, nail enamel dream and dry very quickly. I’ve been sitting on the newest shades from Bourjois for about a month now and only realised this morning that I haven’t talked about them – Bad Blogger! *smack self on wrist* – so I thought I should just dive in and let you know what I think about the 3 new shades.

Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in Grey To Meet You

Bourjois 1 Seconde Grey To Meet You Nail Polish (RRP £5.99) has to be my favourite grey polish of the season. I know I say that about every grey nailpolish I buy – and I do buy a lot – but any nailpolish that can dry streak free in 2-3 minutes is going to rank high in my books. Bourjois’ Grey To Meet You is a dark grey with neutral undertones that could suit anyone regardless of you skintone . . .I think I could even go as far as saying that this shade of grey is the new black (take that as you will)

Bourjois 1 Seconde Nailpolish in Rouge in Style

I’m not really into crimson nails but OMG this shade is absolutely breath-taking! How can you not see Bourjois 1 Seconde Rouge in Style Nailpolish (RRP £5.99) and not fall in love with it?! As with every shade I’ve tried from the Bourjois 1 seconde range, Rouge in Style is very opaque. You get a very even coat with just one layer.

I’ve applied two layers in my swatch – more out of habit than anything else – and you can really see how intense and gel-like this nail enamel appears.

Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in Glitterizer

If you are an avid reader of my blog then you know that I’m not the biggest fan on glitter nailpolishes as they are so difficult to remove and despite Bourjois 1 Seconde Glitterizer Nail Polish (RRP 5.99) being an absolutely gorgeous top coat, I don’t really see myself wearing this unless the occasion calls for it.  What I will say is the Bourjois’ Glitterizer Top Coat is the perfect mixture of chunky, silver flecks and silver glitter that looks amazing when layered over another nail polish.

The Bourjois 1 Seconde Winter 2014 Nailpolish Range cost £5.99 and can be purchased from your nearest Boots or Superdrug but let me know what you think about the new nailpolish shades. Is it a hit or miss for you?
