I can’t even begin to describe how tired I am right now. I don’t care if its been a week, my feet and fingers have not recovered for London Fashion Week SS14 and why on earth did I choose to go for the WHOLE FIVE DAYS!!! How do people do this every season? Is there a trick to lasting the entire week because I was defeated  by Mother Nature chucking balls of wind and rain my way. Anyway now I’m back to my normal routine, I thought I should go through some of the beauty products I used over the weekend starting with my newest highlighter.

The Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold (RRP £30) is an absolutely gorgeous white-gold, light reflecting highlighter formulated with smoothing Emollients and  Pure Gold Pearls to ensure amazing application and illumination. The Bar Of Gold comes certified with a “CT FINE GOLD 999.9” embossed onto it’s finely, milled pressed powder, making it a perfect highlighter to use in my brow bone, nose and the tops of my cheeks for a healthy glow.

As much as I adore Charlotte Tilbury’s rose gold packaging, I’m really not in love with the packaging chosen for the Bar Of Gold highlighter. The highlighter is housed in rose gold cardboard which I don’t feel is the sturdiest or long-wearing of materials. At £30 for 5.5g this highlighter is definitely not high street so I personally would prefer if it was encased in plastic or metal for my piece of mind. The highlighter itself is quite gorgeous. It gives me a white gold finish on my skin but if you happen to have a lighter skin tone than me, I’m sure you would be a stronger yellow tone. I’m a bit unsure about the wear time as I tested out this highlighter during fashion week (and forgot to sneak quick glances of my face in the mirror) so I can’t say for certain how long it lasted but I can guess it lasted roughly 4 hours before fading (yaaaay photographic evidence).

The Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold Highlighter is available to purchase on the Charlotte Tilbury website, Selfridges and Net a Porter.
