Mascara is just so personal. With mascaras that either lengthen, curl, volumise or strengthen, I feel that I have gotten into a habit of trying out soo many that aren’t perfect for me & my very curly, yet stubby lashes, that when I do find out a mascara formulation & wand that works for me, I would rarely use anything else for months on end. As my previous favourite mascara is coming to an end, I thought I should give in to Clinique’s newest mascara offering and do a gif-toria on how to get the perfect feathered lashes effect while I’m at it.

Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara (RRP £18) it gives lashes a very natural, clump-free, feathering effect that’s great for either a natural daytime look or when you just want your eyes to look awake. It’s fluffy & densely packed bristles along with it’s innovative (& quite tacky) mascara formula feathers and separates lashes causing them to fan out in the sweetest way possible.

I found that the Lash Power mascara dried quite quickly so I had to build my desired effect fairly quickly but personally I would rather have a mascara that dried too soon than one that left mascara formula on my eyelid crease when I blink. I don’t really think this mascara gave my short lashes a noticeable amount of length or body but I do love how separated each individual lash looks with this mascara.

Lash Power Feathering Mascara comes in 2 shades, Black Onyx and Dark Chocolate, and is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lense wearers. It is available to purchase from your nearest Clinique counter, the Clinique website & John Lewis.
