Another day, another makeup brush. Ok that’s a lie. I haven’t reviewed a makeup brush in YONKS as I have been suffering from bloggers block but I am determined to change all that!! I will not succumb to procrastination!!!!

As Cover FX tends to be quite ‘on the ball’ with their product formulations and materials, it won’t surprise you to know that the Cover FX Liquid Foundation Brush – £32 via House of Fraser – is a medium sized, dense, flat topped buffering brush – that is a lot of adjectives! – made with synthetic fibres and is actually PETA approved.

I’m not really an ‘expert’ when it comes to makeup brushes, I can only comment on what I like and what I don’t like about the fibres and design of this brush – Yes, that was a public service announcement – and if I completely honest, I am just on the fence.

While I find that this brush doesn’t soak up as much foundation as my Real Techniques buffing brush but I do feel that the dense nature of the bristle make this brush a nightmare to clean and I probably won’t use it as often as I would like as I just don’t want to clean it.

I do however like how sturdy the handle is for this foundation brush.

I know that might seem like a very odd thing to say but the wooden handles of almost all my MAC brushes have started chipping and peeling away – which FYI annoys me to no end – so I am paying more attention to what material has been used in my makeup brush as I refuse to spend so much money on a brush that won’t last.

Cover FX Liquid Foundation Brush costs £32 and is available to purchase from House of Fraser,Harvey Nichols,Sephora and Urban Retreat
