If you know anything about exfoliators, then I probably don’t need to introduce this product to you, but if you are totally clueless with skincare and are still trying to find your way – like me – then allow me to reintroduce the Daily Microfoliant. I finally, FINALLY got my sticky fingers on another jar so I thought I should do a quick review as there are not that many scrubs on the UK beauty market that I can use on my sensitive skin without getting a very nasty allergic reaction.

The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant – £37.85 for 100ml via Pure Beauty – is a rice based micro-exfoliator that has the ability to lift dirt and the various nasty elements sitting on your skin, leaving it smoother and brighter.

Formulated with a skin brightening complex of aspergillus, grapefruit and liquorice that help to balance uneven skin pigmentation

To use this Dermologica exfoliator, you simply pour a little bit of powder into your hands. Add a drop of water – not too much now –  massage the mixture in both your hands to make a white paste, then massage the paste onto your face and rinse off with warm water. The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is great for all skin types  – readers with oily skin take note – as its blend of green tea, ginkgo and colloidal oatmeal will not irritate your skin and will leave you feeling very refreshed.

What I love most about this exfoliating scrub is how quickly you notice a difference to your skin – I’m talking first time you use it – but I would urge you not take the ‘Daily’ in Daily Microfoliant too seriously because:-

  1. You won’t really have built up any dirt on your skin for the exfoliator to remove and you might end up damaging your skin due to your over-eagerness
  2. This might start to dry out your skin if you use it every day (but a little night time facial oil will sort that out)

Although I really love the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, I do think it is quite pricey for what it is BUT I would recommend that you pop over to the Pure Beauty website and grab a travel sized version of the Daily Microfoliant to see how your skin behaves before committing to the full size version.
