I know some of you balk at the idea of investing in luxury makeup brushes when it is so much easier and cheaper to get a set from a highstreet store and to be honest I did think I must have been going crazy the first few times I spent over £20 on a makeup brush but I can raise my hand high and say it’s worth it. I bought my first luxury makeup brush over 3 years ago and it is still going strong so choosing to opt for a slightly more expensive brush will save you a few pounds in the future.

As I’m currently “spring cleaning” my makeup collection; throwing away the out-dated and replacing them with newer purchases, I thought I’d mention a nifty, little, brush addiction to my makeup routine as it has made all the difference when it comes to how I apply and blend my concealer.

Estee Lauder Concealer Brush #5 (RRP £19) is just a dream to use. It’s incredibly soft and blends my concealer (and sometimes my foundation) into my skin ridiculously well. I can now reach that very awkward spot between my eyes and my nose thanks to it’s tapered edges and if I’m quite honest with you, it’s great for apply eyeshadow primer. I’m not sure how it works with liquid concealer just yet but I’m confident that when I do decide to switch back to liquid concealer, this concealer brush will still be a winner.

The Estee Lauder Concealer Brush #5  is available to purchase at your nearest Estee Lauder counter or on the Estee Lauder Website, Selfridges & House Of Fraser sites.
