I have a love-hate relationship with Melvita Skincare and for once, it’s not because of anything they had done. Melvita is one of France’s leading brands of natural and organic cosmetics as well a pioneer in the organic beauty market. Melvita means Honey (MEL) & Life (VITA) in Latin and uses organic Honey, organic Royal Jelly honey, Pollen and Propolis (resinous substance collected by bees) in their products and I am VERY allergic to honey. I remember the first time I used a Melvita product and ended up looking like I just had a chemical skin peel – I kid you not!! – but after a sit down with some of the nice folks from Melvita at the Beauty Mart last spring, where I was  introduced to a few of their products that didn’t contain honey, I’ve become hooked!!!!! Melvita Eye Makeup Remover (RRP £14.50) was a love at first introduction purchase  . . . ok I loved it after I got talked into giving it a chance but I’m deliriously happy I went for it, as this makeup remover is magical!

This has to be the BEST dual-phase cleanser I have ever tried. It’s gentle, extremely cleansing and my eye makeup melts off after 10 secs. It is perfume-free and contains moisturising rose & cornflower water,  orange blossom and castor oil – making it an oil-based makeup remover – I find that this makeup remover removes my waterproof mascara and eyeliner very easily and thoroughly. I can’t actually remember the last time I experienced the “panda-eye” effect.

As this is a repeat purchase from me, you already know that I quite like it. I normally pick my bottle of makeup remover from Beauty Mart but you can also purchase this on Feel Unique or Look Fantastic.
