I’m not one to go crazy over a product’s packaging – I’m more interested in what’s actually inside – but it has taken me a VERY long time to even open my first SteamCream tin because it’s just so darn PRETTY!!! I should probably apologise right now because the Always Tin is limited edition SteamCream released in April but it’s taken me that long to decide to pop the lid and I only did it because I had a moisture emergency (I am not a happy camper right now!)
I’m not sure how much you already know about the SteamCream 3-in-1 Moisturiser Always Tin (RRP £12.95) so I might just be regurgitating information but as this is the first time I’ve ever used a SteamCream product before I just want to cover my bases. The SteamCream moisturisers are an all-in-one solution to dry skin as it can be used to calm and balance skin and soothe irritations – including sun burn and heat rash (great summer product right here!!).
Though I could go on and on about how pretty the Always tin is and how the lavender print is very vivid and seems to jump out at you, I decided to flip the tin upside down and peer at its ingredient list. As SteamCream promotes ‘simple quality skincare’ I knew that I probably wouldn’t find anything obtrusive and I was right. My moisturiser consists of oatmeal, orange flower absolute/water, almond oil (my favourite kind of oil), jojoba oil, lavender oil, neroli oil and cocoa butter (yummy). As an emulsifier, SteamCream has opted for triethanolamine which is an organic carbon-based compound – that I might go into depth later on in the week. Honestly I love this, I’m going to pop this into my work desk for my everyday moisture emergency as I don’t want it to get dents and scratches from living in my handbag.
SteamCream 3-in-1 Moisturiser Always Tin (RRP £12.50) is available from ASOS and the SteamCream website.
