Lancôme Long Time No Shine Loose Setting & Mattifying Powder in Deep
I don’t know why but I’ve been my forehead has been a bit shinier than usual. I wouldn’t say that I have combination skin or an overly shiny T-zone area, so I’m guessing that the weather or my current diet is contributing to my forehead looking like lighthouse beacon. Either way I’ve been playing around with the Lancôme Long Time No Shine Loose Setting & Mattifying Powder in Deep overly the last week and despite its obscenely long name, this setting powder is actually quite good.
When applied over my makeup to set my foundation, I found that this setting powder put in the work! I applied it around 7.30am – before work – and I found that a quick buff of this powder into my skin gave me a lightweight mattifying effect that was not overwhelming, did not appear cakey, did not create a ‘flashback’ effect and – most importantly – lasted almost 8 hours.
For me, I prefer my complexion product to give me the appearance of healthy skin with a satin finish vs. a full coverage, extremely matte finish and I believe that this powder did this for me. My only criticism of this powder is that I thought it was a little too neutral-cool vs. neutral warm but I think that’s just me being overly picky as I could easy add warmth to my face with a touch of blush or bronzer.
